The Third Eye Chakra is traditionally associated with intuition, insight and inner vision. Today, quiet the noise around you and listen to what you already know.
Sanskrit name: Ajna
Each chakra has a traditional Sanskrit name, the ancient language used in yogic and Vedic traditions where this system originated. Sanskrit names carry the original meaning and vibration of each energy centre.
Seed sound: OM
The Third Eye Chakra's seed sound is OM. Chant it aloud on a long, slow exhale, letting the vibration resonate at your brow point, where this chakra's energy is centred.
Colour: Indigo
Indigo is the traditional colour of intuition and insight. Picture a deep indigo light glowing at your brow point during meditation to help focus your awareness on this chakra.
Body focus: Forehead, brow point and mind, so quiet, still practices work especially well here.
"Body focus" refers to the physical area of the body most closely associated with that chakra, and it's often the region to bring your attention to during meditation, breathing or yoga.
Child's Pose is a resting posture that quiets the mind and draws attention inward, right where your Third Eye Chakra is centred. Kneel on the floor, then sit back onto your heels and fold forward, resting your forehead gently on the mat (or on a cushion if that's more comfortable). Let your arms rest alongside your body or stretch out in front of you, whichever feels more restful. Close your eyes and breathe slowly, allowing your mind to settle rather than trying to force stillness. Stay here for as long as feels good, there's no rush.
Crystals are believed to carry their own subtle energy, quietly formed over thousands of years within the earth. When you hold or wear one, you connect with something alive and ancient that can help anchor your own intention.
Choose a Third Eye stone like Amethyst, Lapis Lazuli or Labradorite, or reach for our Third Eye Chakra Crystal Meditation Necklace, which brings a selection of tactile Third Eye stones together in one versatile design.
Hold your crystals, breathe slowly, meditate and set a simple intention, something like "I trust my intuition and I listen within." Then carry, wear or place them somewhere you can see them throughout your day, so they become a beautiful, constant reminder to protect and nurture that energy.
A mantra is simply a word or short phrase you repeat, out loud or silently, to help focus your mind and shift your energy.
Say your mantra slowly a few times today, especially when your mind feels noisy or unsure, and let the words sink in rather than just reciting them.
"I trust my intuition. I see clearly. I listen within."
Think of your crystal necklace as a modern-day mala. Gently move from crystal to crystal as you repeat your mantra, working your way back and forth along the strand, putting a little intention into each stone as you go. This rhythmic counting helps quiet the mind, and over time your necklace becomes more than jewellery, a tactile anchor that can return you to this same sense of calm whenever you simply hold it.
Spend five quiet minutes today with no phone or distraction, and notice what thoughts or feelings surface.
Read your intention in the morning, repeat it whenever you need to refocus, and let it quietly guide how you respond to whatever comes up.
"I trust what I already know."
Write whatever comes to mind for a few minutes, without overthinking or editing yourself.
When has your intuition been right, even when it didn't make logical sense?
What is your inner voice trying to tell you right now?
Today is about trusting the quiet knowing inside you, the answers you already carry beneath the noise. Tomorrow, we'll move into the Crown Chakra and complete your journey with connection and inner peace.
