Day 2 - Connect with Your Sacral Chakra

DAY 2 - Connect with Your Sacral Chakra

Sacral Chakra Introduction

The Sacral Chakra is traditionally associated with creativity, pleasure, emotion and connection. It invites you to notice how freely you allow yourself to feel and to enjoy life. Today, let yourself soften and flow rather than push.

Sacral Chakra Name

Sanskrit name: Svadhisthana

Each chakra has a traditional Sanskrit name, the ancient language used in yogic and Vedic traditions where this system originated. Sanskrit names carry the original meaning and vibration of each energy centre.

Sacral Chakra Seed Sound

Seed sound: VAM

The Sacral Chakra's seed sound is VAM. Chant it aloud on a long, slow exhale, letting the vibration resonate in the lower abdomen, where this chakra's energy is centred.

Sacral Chakra Colour

Colour: Orange

Orange is the traditional colour of creativity and emotional flow. Picture a warm orange glow in your lower abdomen during meditation to help focus your awareness on this chakra.

Sacral Chakra Body Focus

Body focus: Lower abdomen, hips and lower back, so gentle hip-opening movement works especially well here.

"Body focus" refers to the physical area of the body most closely associated with that chakra, and it's often the region to bring your attention to during meditation, breathing or yoga.

Simple Sacral Chakra Yoga Pose

Goddess Pose (Utkata Konasana) invites movement and ease into the hips, right where your Sacral Chakra flows. Stand with your feet wide apart, turn your toes out slightly, and bend your knees to lower into a wide squat. Keep your spine tall and your hands can rest at heart centre or reach out to the sides, palms open. Sway gently side to side or circle your hips slowly, letting the movement feel playful rather than precise. There's no right way to move here, simply notice where your body wants to go, and let yourself enjoy it.

Sacral Chakra Crystals

Crystals are believed to carry their own subtle energy, quietly formed over thousands of years within the earth. When you hold or wear one, you connect with something alive and ancient that can help anchor your own intention.

Choose a Sacral Chakra stone like Carnelian, Orange Calcite or Moonstone, or reach for our Sacral Chakra Crystal Meditation Necklace, which brings a selection of tactile Sacral Chakra stones together in one versatile design.

Hold your crystals, breathe slowly, meditate and set a simple intention. Then carry, wear or place them somewhere you can see them throughout your day, so they become a beautiful, constant reminder to protect and nurture that energy.

Sacral Chakra Mantra

A mantra is simply a word or short phrase you repeat, out loud or silently, to help focus your mind and shift your energy.

Say your mantra slowly a few times today, especially when you catch yourself holding back an emotion, and let the words sink in rather than just reciting them.

"I honour my emotions. I welcome pleasure. I flow with life."

You can also use your crystal necklace as you repeat this mantra, moving slowly from stone to stone, one repetition per bead, for a simple, flowing practice.

Sacral Chakra Practice

Choose one small thing today that brings you genuine joy, with no other purpose attached, maybe dancing to a favourite song, doodling, cooking something delicious, or simply lying in the sun. Before you start, take a slow breath and silently give yourself permission to enjoy it fully, without guilt or multitasking. As you do it, notice how it feels in your body: is there warmth, lightness, a smile creeping in? Let yourself linger there for a few extra minutes rather than rushing to the next task. Afterwards, take a moment to notice how you feel, this is your Sacral Chakra in motion.

Sacral Chakra Intention

Read your intention in the morning, repeat it whenever you need to refocus, and let it quietly guide how you respond to whatever comes up.

"I allow myself to feel and to flow."

Sacral Chakra Journaling Prompt

Write whatever comes to mind for a few minutes, without overthinking or editing yourself.

When was the last time you did something purely for the joy of it?

Is there something new that you could try this week?

Sacral Chakra Course Summary

Today is an invitation to soften, to feel, and to let pleasure and creativity move through you without guilt. Emotions are meant to flow, not be dammed up. Tomorrow, we'll move into the Solar Plexus Chakra and begin exploring confidence and personal power.
